Heavenlee Acres Camping Rates hey there i'm here in surface takingthe bus to brand that is the bus he saidonly a way yeah I asked him for twoand he said one yes yea i assume youcan't buy him at this same time [Laughter] andlooks like that is it the bran castlehere in the village of brand name also calledthe Dracula castle but it's kind ofloosely associated with the Draculastory the fellow that the you recognize wholestory concerning Dracula Count Dracula isbased on is Vlad the Impaler and hemight have lived here at one point orwhatever it's not like this is often thecastle that he you recognize stayed in forhis whole life or anythingthere ar various points around Romaniathat area unit related to the you knowthe whole story of Vlad the Impaler whowas a true guy a historical figure whoapparently pushed back the Turks theOttomans from invading this space andtaking over that okay may havekept Europe from being invaded by theOttomans and brought over and thus he was aimportant guy although positively not anice guy by the sounds of it the Impalerfor impaling his enemies so i'm going tocheck out the city here just a littlebit and then head up and see the castlea terribly classic little village herewood-burning stove i suppose and stillsome snow left it absolutely was

snowing a couple of daysago after I arrived in brush aside and herewe ar in traveler centralwell it looks like this can be the way tothe castle thus head on in therefore apparentlythere's a distinct castle it isactually kind of more associated withthe Count Dracula story and therefore the filmthe Bram Stoker's Dracula movie could havebeen additional based on that location and itis near the border of European country that is asmaller country between Balkan country andUkraine and so it's in all probability kind ofmore for traveller purposes however this gotcalled The Count Dracula castle just tokind of Center the story somewhere andbring individuals here make sure issue outwhat acrossbran castle in order to fortify thestrategic whole personally since Romantimes the Teutonic Knights unsuitable inthe 13th century likely on thesite wherever the castle stands todaythis city was destroyed subsequentbattles fearing the menacing Turksequally insecure in relations with beganto build Citadel's at the borders of theHungarian Kingdom in order to secure thedefense of Transylvania control andsurveillance of the stigmatisation pass wasessential Nov in 1913 77 the kingissued the birth document of bran castleQueen Maria of Roumania on december 291890 - she married him Ferdinand vonHall consumer and crown prince ofRomania

Vlad the impaler's favorite torturemethod Wowthat's however he got his nickname and thusI'm planning to try to make a case for a number of whatI learned inside the castle there thevarious plaques within that had a lot ofinformation therefore this castle was engineered inthe late 1300s there was another onethat was designed at a similar spot acentury before that but that wasdestroyed and then this was engineered aroundlike 1377 Vlad the Impaler lived in the1400s and was a blue blood and therefore I guessbecame King and he ruled over this areakind of in conjunction with the Turks asI realize it he like knew the cultureand the language and stuff so atsome purpose he became opposed to them andwas concerned in you know fightingagainst them and pushing them backsomething like that that's just kind ofthe general idea and as you'll seethere then he had terribly brutal techniquesfor torturing his enemies that is a greatshot of the castle there what amonstrous Rock it's designed onand so i am going to a walk down the roadhere I saw another ruins from upthere on just like the other side of theriver down the road a touch bit and soI'm about to a shell there and justtake a glance at what's there and thenexplain a little bit a lot of herethe magic restaurant so there is a littlebridge right there over the riverand so bram stoker was a man World Health Organization wasborn in capital of ireland Ireland in 1847 and heended up moving to London and becominginvolved with the theatre there and hebecame a otter and he's the author ofthe book Dracula he ne'er actuallyvisited this area here of japanese Europeat

all but thusmehow in London then he hadaccess to love historical documents thattalked about the history of this areaand so he became aware of thehistory of this area and therefore the legends ofVlad the Impaler and also various localmyths of the culture of this regionwhich enclosed myths concerning strangesupernatural creatures and then they hadsuperstitions during this area concerning youknow if you are doing the wrong things and youbecome this weird creature and thiscorresponds with the you recognize ideasabout vampires and the way they avoid thesunlight and don't like garlic andonions and every one this sort of stuff it'sactually primarily based within the like historicalrecord the traditions of this space andso writer was a author and helearned regarding this area and vlad and thestrange myths and he primarily mixedthem all at once and came up with thisbook concerning Dracula and so the Draculastory could be a you know fictional story butit is predicated on true facts from this areaand so he simply reasonably mixed togetherdifferent things totally different individualsprobably to form up the

Acula person andthen combine that all along side thelocal legendsand wrote the book Dracula that becamethe second hottest commerce book inthe world after the Bible at the timethat it was written and so of courseyou apprehend the flicks came out based mostly onthe book then the castle there was avery strategic castle at this time inthis depression to protect the area forcenturies and the whole Dracula story isjust quite a blip in its historyI guess vlad the impaler was actuallyraised in the town of and i am reaching tototally butcher the name on this onesiga sawara that is north of here andthat is wherever i'm going nexttomorrow it is a smaller cities thanbrush-offI suppose bigger than this town here butit looks very beautiful i'll gothere on the way to Cluj at that timea little chapel hereand a much additional recently constructedchurch it looks like and a few like totempoles Wow clearly it is not totem polesbut one thing similarall right i'm going to end this videohere head back into city there catch thebus back to ignore and so tomorrowgoing to siga sawara after that to Clujand then flying somewhere new a newcountry my 54th country so lots morecoming Heavenlee Acres Camping Rates
